Mark R. Patrick, CPA

Mark has been a Jacksonville CPA since 1976. In 1982, after seven years of experience practicing in two local firms, he established his own practice, offering comprehensive services to clients in diversified industries. Concurrently, he was appointed vice president-finance with an emerging software company, but by 1986 his client base had grown and he began working exclusively with his CPA firm.

Mr. Patrick received his formal training through a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Valdosta State University in 1971 and an MSBA from Boston University in 1974, while serving in the US Army in Germany, along with additional post-graduate classes. He's a member of the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the National Society of Tax Professionals. One of Mark’s proud moments is when Patrick & Raines CPAs’ high standards were recognized when the firm was selected as Northeast Florida’s only member of CPAConnect, a nationwide network of proven CPAs that handles local and national accounting needs.

During his years of practice, Mr. Patrick has served his industry, community, and church in a variety of ways. As a frequent discussion leader with the North Florida Small Business Development Center, a program of the Small Business Administration, he's offered professional assistance to emerging businesses and served as president of the Small Business Resource Network. He also founded the CPA Club of Jacksonville.

Mr. Patrick has served as chairman and finance chairman of his church board, and for more than two decades as the North Florida District treasurer, offering administrative leadership through pastoral transitions and large fundraising campaigns.

Timothy P. Raines, CPA

Tim  has been a Jacksonville CPA since 1996.  He joined P&R in 2012 as a tax manager. His experience is significant and far-reaching. He graduated from the University of West Florida with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a master’s in accountancy, with an emphasis in taxation.

He’s held experience in all levels of accounting, including training and supervising staff, reviewing tax projects, performing complex tax research, and fostering and maintaining client relationships from beginning to end.

Mr. Raines’ current clients are owners of businesses that range in size from small, single owner/operator entities to large conglomerates operating in all 50 states and internationally. He established a niche working with high net-worth individuals who maintain complex corporate and business arrangements, giving him the opportunity to become proficient in alternative engagements, such as large estates and litigation support.

Having started his academic education with a scholarship for advanced technology, Mr. Raines never lost his passion for computers. He assists many clients in evaluating their individual technological needs and manages P&R’s use of technology. A few years ago he was named one of CPA Technology’s Top 40 CPAs under 40.

Mr. Raines has been a long-time member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and is a past president of the Jacksonville Chapter of the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants (FICPA). He served on the FICPA Personal Financial Planning and the State Taxation committees, where he served as chair of the Estate and Financial Planning Annual Conference.

When he isn’t attending or presenting various courses and seminars, Tim spends his time with his wife Stefanie and their 3 children: Emory, Andrea, and Gianna. He’s also involved with various church and civic activities.

MEET THE TEAM

Tulika Arun, CPA

Tulika joined the P&R team in 2023.  She brings a wealth of knowledge, and we are excited she has joined with us.  Tulika earned her bachelor’s degree in accounting from Nagpur University in India, then continued her studies and graduated from the University of Florida with a MBA in Finance..  She earned her CPA credential in 2020.

Tulika has more than 25 years’ experience in the accounting field.  She especially enjoys tax work and helping small businesses succeed. 

Tulika grew up in India and, with her husband, moved to the U.S. in 2000.  They have 2 wonderful children.  In her spare time Tulika enjoys cooking, music, and spending time with her family. 

Beulah Priyanka

Beulah joined P&R in 2024.  Her experience in accounting started in 2017.  She has held a variety of titles, such as Head of Accounting, Hedge Fund Administrator, Risk Analyst & Private Stock Advisor.  She helped a hospital set up its entire accounting department and has also helped clients reach their financial objectives through private stock advisory.  Her pure love of accounting inspires her to stay in accounting.

Beulah graduated Summa Cum Laude, receiving her Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance in 2018. She went on to graduate Summa Cum Laude, receiving her Master of Business Administration in International Finance and International Marketing in 2020, and is now currently pursuing her Doctorate of Education.

In Beulah’s spare time she enjoys board games and playing cards, she loves street food and is a trained choreographer.  She has a true love of learning and a commitment to her work and is very consistent and loyal.  She gives it all to God’s grace and favor.

Prakash Gopi

Prakash joined P&R in early 2024.  With more than 15 years in public accounting, he has a wealth of experience in accounting and auditing.  He has a Bachelor of Commerce degree (India), as a Chartered Accountant credential.  Always aspiring to more, Prakash is currently working on obtaining his CPA credential.  His passion, willingness to learn, and analytical skills make him a wonderful asset to P&R.

Previously, Prakash was a senior auditor in one of the top public accounting firms in the USA.  He is responsible for leading assurance engagements in various industries, including CIRA, HUD, non-public companies, and not-for-profit entities.

In his spare time, Prakash plays cricket, sings and listens to music, and walks on the second longest beach in the world with his wife and two wonderful children.

Janet Meirose

Janet joined P&R in early 2024. With more than 20 years in bookkeeping and accounting, and making sure clients had their books ready for tax season, she has been a great asset in helping our clients.  She has a Bachelors degree in Accounting from Western WA University.

She started her working career helping relatives with their businesses and decided she liked figuring out why things worked the way they do.  She found herself working for small independent companies and then found her way to a Bookkeeping Solutions company. 

Janet enjoys Rockhounding, faceting gemstones, reading and exploring new places.  She has lots of nieces and nephews, and she loves to walk with her husband, Jeff and her loyal dog, Jessie. 

Lynn Barwell

Lynn joined Patrick & Raines CPAs in 2004, adding experience in administrative and organizational tasks. She serves as office manager and client relations coordinator, monitoring daily operations such as marketing activities and customer service.

Lynn performed similar duties with Christian Heritage Academy for 13 years as a secretary and assistant administrator. Her career also included clerical services for a bank, mortgage company, and marine freight transportation business. She received her bachelor’s degree in business administration from Strayer University.

Originally from England, Lynn has lived in Jacksonville for more than 30 years and especially enjoys the warm weather. She holds a leadership role in her church and helps with events for her daughter’s small business.

Chelsea Mitra

Chelsea joined the Patrick & Raines team in November of 2021. She has more than ten years in previous administrative roles which include project coordination for a small non-profit, as well as regulatory compliance and coordination for a local pharmaceutical research company.

With Chelsea’s passion for client service and organization, she serves as the assistant office manager providing administrative and customer service support.

In Chelsea’s free time she enjoys traveling, reading, baking, and taking her dogs on long walks with her husband.

Renee O’Neal

Renee joined the P&R team in 2023.   She has always had a passion for business and numbers, which has brought her our way.  She has worked in distribution, financial advisory services, life insurance and other administrative areas.

She is currently at FSCJ earning her business degree, while also running her own small business. She has lived in Jacksonville her whole life.

Renee enjoys cooking outside on her grill, smoker and blackstone, and she’s great at it.  When she finally relaxes, she enjoys being with her family out by the pool.  She attributes her success to God and her family.

Tracey Hebert

Tracey brings more than thirty years of accounting, marketing and management experience to Patrick & Raines, CPAs.  She graduated from Jackson Community College and Jackson Business College. She and her husband owned their own Marketing & print business, then in addition to working in the public and corporate accounting fields, she has served as Controller & CFO with a private school.

Tracey started out at Patrick & Raines, CPAs, in 2022, as a CAAS Senior, and shortly after moved to the Marketing position. Using her knowledge of marketing from her previous position, which has helped in making the move successful.

Originally from Michigan, Tracey calls Jacksonville her home for more than 30 years. 

In Tracey’s free time, she enjoys reading, quilting and spending time with her husband, Mark and their 9 grandchildren. She is also very active in her church.
